Bali Film Center (BFC) is a private sector
organization focusing on production services, education, location
and film promotion in Indonesia. It was originally established in
April 2002 under the Bali Government Tourism Authority as ‘Bali Film
Commission’ to professionally assist foreign production companies
filming on Bali and surrounding islands of Indonesia.
In a move to expand our capabilities and services, Bali Film
Commission has become the ‘Bali Film Center’ to address the growing
needs of an industry that is now more creatively diverse and
technically skilled.
We enjoy strong support from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism,
Bali Governor's office, Departments of Information, Foreign Affairs,
Customs, Immigration, the Local and National Police. However, we
receive no funding from the government.
BFC became an official member of the Association of Film
Commissioners International (AFCI) in 2003, and a founding member of
Asian Film Commission Network (AFCNet) in 2004.
Our office is headed by Deborah Gabinetti (an American), and a team
having more than 35 years combined experience in television, film
and theater production, international print media, media and public
relations. |
