LOCATIONS
Stretching over 5,000km, there is very little visual background that
cannot be provided for any action or era somewhere among Indonesia’s
18,110 islands.
In this vast and geographically and culturally diverse country,
scenes can be set amid literally one of a thousand temples, a trail
of extinct and active volcanoes, among ancient and stunningly
terraced rice fields, palatial ruins, colonial buildings, royal
water gardens, deserted pink, gold and black sand beach islands,
lush tropical rainforests packed with unique flora and fauna, tribal
villages, ocean cliffs or stone cities.
Combined with low production costs and BFC’s ability to get results
with a pool of talented and creative people readily available to
service the needs of serious film and television producers makes the
country an attractive and economical location for filming. |

‘In my film I depict Bali and Lombok as I see them, the most
beautiful places in the world - Toute la Beauté du Monde.
‘What is fantastic about Bali is the reality of the settings. The
authenticity we were able to capture by filming genuine temple
ceremonies and Balinese daily life with very little set up or
direction.’
Marc Esposito writer and director of TOUTE LA BEAUTÉ DU
MONDE

EXTRAS An advantage in the
worlds' fourth most populous nation is the ready availability of

diversity - 350 ethnic groups make up the Indonesian archipelago,
with physical features ranging from a heritage of Polynesia, Central
Asia, India, the Middle East, Papua, Melanesia, Aboriginal,
Portugal, Holland and just about everything in between, with a
strong dose of local foreign residents from across the globe. |
