Robyn Gardiner, Co-Executive Chairman, RGM Holdings, says: "Asia is
largely unexplored creatively. There is so much literary material
here, there is a very large market that has yet to be exploited.
There's a lot of talent that hasn't been introduced elsewhere. We
see this as a natural progress."
The Chairman of RGM Films is Barrie Osbourne, the producer of Lord
of the Rings and Matrix.
Organized by BFC, Gardiner and Devesh Chetty of RGM met with
Indonesia’s Minister of Culture and Tourism Jero Wacik to discuss
filming in the country and visited Yogyakarta for possible locations
for projects now in development.
RGM is also setting up a US$100 million media financing facility to
invest in media content projects. It will be managed in Singapore
but used by local and global producers.
