THE PROCEDURES

Guidelines

Every Foreign Producer is legally obligated to request through their local Indonesian Embassy or Consulate permission to shoot film, video or still photography in Indonesia whether it be dramatic, non-theatrical, documentary, advertisement or promotional.

Requirements

Visa & Film Permit

BFC can professionally handle processing the required paperwork for issuing the necessary permissions to film in Indonesia. The standard timeline for acquiring both a Journalist Visa and National Film Permit is 4 to 6 weeks. A visa is valid for 30 or 60 days and our office can extend it for you in-country. Local provincial, national park/conservation areas or filming of local objects/attractions may require additional permissions.

BFC will act as your required local sponsor in expediting this (often laborious) process.
