World Peace Music Awards

The World Peace Music Awards (WPMA) proved to be an all-night party for the estimated 15,000 in attendance.

BFC provided media relations for the event and saw the show, broadcast live to over 1.5 billion viewers in 210 countries, kick off with the rhythmic sounds of Latin America’s Kinky, and built to a fever pitch when INXS took the stage for the finale. Disco Queen’s Gloria Gaynor (USA), this year’s recipient, belted out the familiar favorite I Will Survive and performed a duet with Indonesia’s Krisdayanti of a song specially written for the first WPMA.

The Headliners also included: Maxi Priest (USA), Inul (Indonesia), Slank (Indonesia), Emma Shapplin (France), Zohar (England), Rubyhorse (Ireland), and The Love Pschadelics (Japan).
